CNY Music Therapy contracts with a growing number of school districts to provide increased access to music therapy as a related service for students with an IEP.
We aim to provide adaptive, responsive solutions wherever required in the care of our clients and students. Tele-health services are new to many of us, but can offer connection when this is not possible or is limited for some.
Music therapy within healthcare settings reaches a broad range of needs. We run individual and group settings where patients are invited to participate in active interaction through music-making in many forms.
Music offers connections. For those at the end of life, it can offer ways to connect with process, ways to build bridges with friends and family during feelings of isolation and opportunities for creative expression.
We recognise that the focused work of music therapy benefits from spilling outwards to embrace the many therapeutic qualities of music, and in particular making music as a way to connect and nurture our communities.
We are connected with music therapists in our local region and a core value of our company is that we are better when we support one another. We have university affiliations in place for practicum and internship placements and we offer supervision for LCAT and MT-BC's.
We have over 10 years of experience in educational and inspirational public speaking and are always happy to educate on the benefits of music therapy through consultations and presentations.
